Project:
As a class we worked towards an event we called Worn Again, which was a clothing exchange. This event was put on to educate the community at the University of Utah about fast fashion, why it is harmful to the environment and how we can change it. We were split into four groups where I was assigned to the educational group. This involved a lot of research that then helped inform our fellow classmates as we all created assets for our common goal. We had a successful event where about 450 people were able to donate, shop, or simply hang out. We collected clothes leading up to the event and the day of. Afterwards, 12 garbage bags of leftover clothing was donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters in Murray, UT.
